The first Beirut Cooking Festival closed its doors on November 19, 2011. More than 5,000 homemakers and food lovers enjoyed this festival. Food and beverage professionals were able to showcase their products, check out what are the latest creations on the market and mingle with the industry key players. From food to food related appliances, professionals were updated while enjoying the event.

For homemakers and food lovers, the festival was the opportunity to sample the latest products available and update their shopping lists to include the newly appreciated products. This celebration of food, drink and the art of cooking satisfied all five senses as it stimulated your taste buds, pleased your sense of smell, introduced you to a variety of food textures, sizzle your hearing and attracted your eye.

Opening Ceremony The First Beirut Cooking Festival opened its doors on Thursday, November 17 at 12:00 pm with the presence of his Excellency Minister of Industry Mr. Vrej Sabounjian and Miss Lebanon 2011, Ms. Yara Khoury-Mikhael Ambassadors and personalities from the industry also attended the opening ceremony

Chef's Kitchen Lebanon’s favorite star chefs and celebrities presented live cooking demonstrations. Housewives and food lovers had the chance to get the latest recipes and cooking tips during 3 days
Beverage Master Class  Visitors had the chance to meet, learn and get inspired from more than 20 celebrity experts and bartenders

Wine Tasting Najib Moutran invited wine lovers to discover and match the primeurs wines. They also experienced Champagne and Chocolate combination. Visitors experienced lot of main rules for pairing food & wines

Master class  visitors met, learned and got inspired from more than 20 designers, etiquette and table setting consultants brought live during the 3 days event

Librairie Gourmande A corner with a wide selection of cookbooks and table art were displayed, as well as book signing sessions by famous food writers

Kids’ Activities
Kids had the opportunity to design and decorate their own apron and chef’s hat. Also they enjoyed preparing and decorating cookies and cupcakes

Olive Oil Olive oil is the key ingredient in the culinary life of the region. Bottles of this fragrant liquid are to be found in every home. The best olive oils from all over Lebanon were compared together in a series of tasting sessions that took place under the roof of this first cooking festival
